After his concert in London on October 30th, WOOSUNG from the Korean group The Rose continued his European journey with a stop in Paris for his World Tour "B4 WE DIE" on November 2nd. The show took place at the luxurious and renowned Parisian venue, Salle Pleyel.

If you know The Rose, you’ll be familiar with their leader, WOOSUNG, and his talent as both a singer and guitarist. His remarkable skill has led him to become a solo artist, releasing two studio albums and many solo songs since 2021, including collaborations with popular artists like Suga from BTS and BOL4. If you’re curious and missed The Rose’s Paris concert on April 3rd, check out our review here!

Following The Rose’s sold-out show at one of Paris’s largest venues, Zenith de Paris, WOOSUNG continued the trend by completely selling out his own World Tour date in the City of Lights.

The night began with a DJ opening the show for about 30 minutes. At 8:15 pm, the lights dimmed, and DOJOON—another member of The Rose, known as a keyboardist and singer—took to the stage with a surprise DJ set as the first act, performing for around 25 minutes. DOJOON, beloved by fans, wore his glasses for the occasion, prompting excited cheers from the audience throughout his set.

After DOJOON’s performance, WOOSUNG finally appeared on stage, with DOJOON remaining by his side. This hinted at an amazing collaboration between the two friends and artists, setting the tone for an unforgettable night. Most of the songs performed were from WOOSUNG’s latest album, 4444, beginning with “Paper Cuts,” “Before We Die,” and “Never Let Go.” He also performed “Day That I Died” and his collaboration with B.I, “Happy Alone.”

During his only talk with the audience, WOOSUNG explained the inspiration behind the title 4444. As many fans know, the number four is often associated with death in several Asian countries, including South Korea, where the letter “F” is commonly used in elevators to replace the number. Intrigued by this symbolism, WOOSUNG decided to create an album that explores themes of death.

He also performed songs from his 2022 album MOTH, including “ComE dOWn,” “Side Effects,” and “Phase Me.” A highlight of the night was his performance of “Modern Life,” during which the entire venue turned pink, and the audience passionately sang along to the lyrics, “So fuck this modern life.”

WOOSUNG and DOJOON treated the audience to several of The Rose’s songs, including “Lifeline,” “Back To Me,” and “Sour,” each infused with an electric vibe that differed from the original rock versions. The concert concluded with “Found You,” “Let There Be Light” (originally featuring BOL4), and “44 (Forget Forever).”

Overall, this concert was an incredible experience. WOOSUNG once again proved himself to be an outstanding artist, singing and connecting with the audience through his music. Salle Pleyel provided the perfect setting, with stunning staging and impressive lighting effects.

The crowd, like us, was left wanting more! We can’t wait to see The Rose and WOOSUNG take the stage in Paris again. Be sure to explore their discography if you’re a fan of great music—it’s definitely worth it!

Special thanks to WOOSUNG and DOJOON for an amazing show, and to Live Nation France for having us!
