The charming and talented members of the unique rock band Rolling Quartz kicked off their European tour with their first show in Paris on January 24th! Arem (bassist), Iree (main guitarist), Yeongeun (drummer), Jayoung (vocalist), and Hyunjung (rhythm guitarist) lit up the stage at "le Café de la Danse," a cozy and intimate venue in the heart of Paris.

Rolling Quartz was formed in 2019 and made their debut in late 2020. Despite the COVID-19 crisis, they heavily relied on social media to build their reputation worldwide. After numerous successes on music charts, such as their mini-album "Fighting" ranking 5th on the U.S Rock album chart, and collaborations with artists like AleXa and 015B, the five girls embarked on their journey around the world, starting with their first U.S tour in May 2023 in Seattle, followed by seven other dates in America.

After enchanting their American fans, many European fans eagerly anticipated Rolling Quartz's announcement of their first European tour. The official announcement came right before the release of their single "Fearless" on September 20, 2023.

Their European journey began in Paris on January 24, with subsequent performances in London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Cologne, and Cologne again. The French audience responded enthusiastically, and the venue was nearly sold out. We observed a diverse audience, a mix of rock and KPOP enthusiasts.

The show started with Jayoung singing the famous song "Allumer le Feu" by the legendary French rocker Johnny Hallyday. The girls then showcased a variety of songs, maintaining a good balance between their original compositions and cover songs. Highlights included "Higher," "Delight," "Holler" with Arem showcasing her bassist skills in an amazing solo, and "Azalea" and "Fearless." Additionally, they delighted the audience with cover songs like Lady Gaga’s "Bad Romance," Nirvana’s "Smells Like Teen Spirit," Nickelback’s "Burn It to the Ground," and "Pink Drop," a mashup of BLACKPINK’s "Pink Venom" and BTS’ "MIC DROP," where fans sang along and danced throughout the venue.

After almost 2 hours, the show concluded with "Sing Your Heart Out," during which Jayoung taught the audience the chorus for a sing-along experience. Following a brief encore call, the group returned to the stage to end the night with Paramore’s "Misery Business." The members then took pictures with the audience and left the stage with big smiles on their faces.

For many fans, it was their first time seeing Rolling Quartz perform live, and it felt like all Diadems (the group's fandom) were completely healed and happy after this entertaining concert. Witnessing the members play their instruments with such passion and enjoyment was a great sight, and capturing these emotions was an honor for me. By introducing themselves with so much energy, they left warm and unforgettable memories for the fans who attended the show. Promising to return to France in the future, Rolling Quartz will be eagerly awaited by the French community. We, at ab(CDE), hope to see them again!

Thanks to every member of Rolling Quartz for the amazing show, and a big thank you to Los Production for having us! Also, a special thanks to Le Cafe de la Danse for the warm welcome!
