Just a month ago, former LOONA members Hyunjin, Yeojin, Vivi, Gowon, and Hyeju reestablished themselves as Loossemble, a clever fusion of ‘LOONA’ and ‘assemble. The newly formed group spent September and October touring the U.S. for their 'Debut Ceremony Tour', which has served as a fantastic reintroduction for each of them. Their recent show at Inglewood’s iconic Kia Forum was the last stop of their tour and it was filled with numerous memorable moments.
The show kicked off with 'Real World,' a performance that combined both delicate and playful vibes, setting the perfect tone for the evening. This playful energy continued into their next act, 'Strawberry Soda.'
In a segment called "Color Talk," the group delves deeper into the intricacies of their album's creation. Hyunjin sheds light on her lyric-writing process for 'Day By Day,' which prompts Hyeju to express her astonishment at Hyunjin's exceptional writing skills. The conversation then shifts to the production of their 'Sensitive' music video, where the group collectively admires the meticulous thought and effort invested in crafting its compelling storyline.
Following this, the group delivered an electrifying performance of their title track, 'Sensitive,' during which Hyunjin and Hyeju captivated the audience with their remarkable high notes. Post-performance, the group shared laughter while going over amusing incidents that occurred on stage. Hyunjin mentioned a humorous moment when she high-fived one of the dancers during the performance, a detail none of the other members had noticed until she shared it, adding an extra layer of amusement to the conversation.
Loossemble further thrilled their dedicated fanbase, known as C-Loos, with a "Random Dance Play" segment. This segment featured energetic covers of popular songs by renowned K-pop artists, such as TWICE's 'The Feels,' Blackpink's 'Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,' New Jeans' 'Super Shy,' and BTS's Jungkook's 'Seven.' To the delight of their fans, the members also pulled off a surprise by seamlessly blending together a medley of LOONA's greatest hits, including 'Paint the Town,' 'So What,' 'Hi High,' and 'Why Not,' creating a nostalgic and unforgettable moment on stage.
Loossemble members joyfully engaged with their fans, sharing anecdotes from their time in Los Angeles. During their visit to Universal Studios, the group divided into teams, with some members eagerly taking on thrilling rides while others opted for a more relaxed experience. Additionally, the girls recounted their visit to Santa Monica Beach, where they reveled in the vibrant culinary scene, trying out a diverse array of delicious foods at the numerous restaurants in the area.
As they reminisced about their adventures, the screen displayed behind-the-scenes photos of their various activities, providing fans with a visual glimpse into their memorable time.
The members transitioned into a new game titled "Balance Game," where they answered a series of different questions, aligning with the option they resonated with more. When posed with the question of whether they would prefer to film a music video in the summer or the winter, the response among the members was mixed, highlighting their diverse preferences. However, a unanimous and swift consensus emerged when they were asked whether they would rather perform in everyday clothes or stage outfits, as all members enthusiastically opted for everyday attire, showcasing their desire for comfort and relatability in their performances.
As the members gathered for a group photo with the audience, an unexpected turn of events occurred when the lights suddenly dimmed. It became apparent that their dedicated team had orchestrated a heartwarming surprise, as a beautifully decorated cake was rolled onto the stage. Simultaneously, a touching graphic illuminated the screen, bearing the words "Congratulations on your debut."
The girls came together to blow out the candles adorning the cake, and in that moment, they shared their heartfelt sentiments with the audience. They expressed their immense happiness at concluding a successful U.S. tour and extended their gratitude to their fans. While recounting the surprise, most of the members confessed that they had difficulty holding back tears.
However, it was the youngest member, Yeojun, who moved everyone as she tearfully delivered a prepared speech in English. Touched by her emotional vulnerability, the members applauded her strength in conveying her feelings, especially considering her status as the youngest member. As Yeojun briefly disappeared backstage to compose herself and fix her makeup, her fellow members continued to express their pride and appreciation for her heartfelt words.
In summary, Loossemble's inaugural U.S. show was a heartwarming, thoughtful, amusing, and highly energetic event. This performance left a lasting impression and showcased the group's potential to captivate their fans and music enthusiasts in general. As they embark on this exciting new chapter in their musical careers, it's clear that Loossemble is a group to watch in the K-pop music scene.
