K-Pop sensations ENHYPEN close out the North American leg of their ‘WALK THE LINE’ tour with their final stop in LA. As the group performs hits from their latest album DESIRE: UNLEASH, fans are left with unforgettable memories of the members’ powerful performance.
The show kicks off with stunning performances of hits like ‘Brought The Heat Back’ and ‘Fever’ and segues into a heartfelt speech led by leader JUNGWON. He reflects on the past spent with the fans, ENGENES, and expresses that “looking back on the past, ENGENES made us who we are today.”
The group continued the show with a clever intro to their song ‘ParadoXXX Invasion’ where members threw papers onto the stage and amazed the audience with an impressive performance of ‘Pass the MIC’.
Members JAY, JAKE, and SUNGHOON surprised fans with a subunit performance of ‘Lucifer’, showcasing amazing vocals and a visually-breathtaking icy scenery. The remaining members (JUNGWON, HEESEUNG, SUNOO, and NIKI) performed with a polar opposite vibe, showcasing exhilarating choreography in a hip-hop scenery with their song ‘Teeth’.
The show continues with a striking performance from JAY who amazes the audience with his electric guitar, and performances like ‘Blessed-Cursed’ and ‘Fatal Trouble’ continue to highlight the infectious energy of the group.
After a high-energy environment set by ENHYPEN, the group takes a big turn and shows their more laid-back side with songs like ‘Your Eyes Only’ and ‘Loose’. During the performance of ‘Loose’, members SUNGHOON and NIKI excite fans with a powerful dance break while still maintaining the relaxed ambience of the song.
During the ment, the members hype-up the crowd with various cheering games, and HEESEUNG even shocks fans with his impressive acapella vocals. JAKE asked the fans the best thing to eat in LA, and the fans chose a local-favorite, In-N-Out. Even though the group will not be in LA for long, they remark that they will be back for Coachella.
Songs like ‘Tamed-Dashed’ and ‘Go Big or Go Home’ featured a school-esque style from the group, further showcasing their versatility in many genres and fashion trends. NIKI would take this versatility even further during his second dance break in the song ‘Sweet Venom’.
As the show neared the end, the members took turns saying their goodbyes one by one. JAKE tells the fans not to be sad because the group will be back very soon and hints that the fans will get to see the members even closer. That is when he announced the debut of their new VR concert starting in September, leaving ENGENES excited. JAY shares that he loves performing in his home country and says, “it’s so amazing to perform my culture to you guys and I love both of my countries.”
With the final stretch of the show, HEESEUNG performs an elegant piano cover of ‘XO’, which eventually segues into an all-out performance from the whole group. With loud cheers and energetic dance moves from the crowd, it is safe to say that ‘XO’ is a fan favorite.
While ENHYPEN traveled backstage to prepare for their encore, a fun section featuring the audience’s signs was led by the camera team. Lots of fans prepared clever signs for the group, with some saying “I love JAY with no doubt” or “I’m celebrating my 13th birthday with ENHYPEN!” With heartwarming signs all around, the fans joined together to sing ‘Polaroid Love’ with their energy bringing the group back on stage for an encore.
As the show came to a close, ENHYPEN danced their hearts out to their remix of ‘Drunk Dazed’, which featured elements of EDM. The show ended with another performance of ‘Go Big or Go Home’, but this time with a sadder undertone with that song being their last.
Overall, an absolutely amazing performance from ENHYPEN. Our personal highlights were songs like ‘ParadoXXX Invasion’ and ‘Bite Me’ that both featured clever twists to the already incredible songs. We are looking forward to ENHYPEN’s return in America with their new VR concert debuting in September!
